Dear Friends-

I know that we are not meant to play favorites but after 11 years of Relief Rides, our newly designed Pushkar itinerary is one that we are really fond of and very much looking forward to offering this coming November.

From our warm family style homestay at the 15th century magnificent fort in Harasar, where hospitality, community and culture are vibrantly interwoven, to the dramatic and diversified terrain that leads us to the Pushkar Fair, this ride is unique and mystical in every manner.

We are also excited about our newly developed Sanitation program especially given how great the impact has been for the local children as a result of our prototype well dig and bathroom build on last November's Relief Ride. This year we shall repeat the program at another school 5 km from Harasar.

The ride due south to Pushkar gives us the feeling of exploring undiscovered country, passing through villages who rarely experience travelers let alone on horseback. Riders and horses alike can delight in endless sand tracks throughout breathtaking terrain, from rolling sand dunes to open plains, and a mountain pass through a steep gorge, arriving in the sacred valley of Pushkar.

This particular route follows in the ancient footsteps of countless pilgrims, horse and camel traders and nomadic tribes as they make their way to this normally serene village. However, in reverence to India's most auspicious lunar period, the landscape of this region now comes alive with vibrance, color and spiritual celebration set against the backdrop of the worlds most exotic horse and camel fair.

A great highlight of all of our rides is stopping to distribute school supplies, livestock, sporting equipment, and to offer eye surgeries and dental care to some of the most remote and unsupported communities in the region.

Our Relief Ride offer the unique opportunity to impact the lives of rural communities in need, and to experience one of India's most iconic spiritual and cultural events on horseback. We hope you will join us.
